Ridgefield Man Driving Erratically Charged With DUI

A Ridgefield man is facing drunken driving charges after being stopped for erratic operation of his vehicle, according to Wilton Police.

Erick Molina Trigueros, 21, was seen slamming on his brakes, and driving over the double yellow and fog lines on Danbury Road around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, said Lt. Robert Kluk.

After stopping the vehicle, police could tell he was under the influence of alcohol and was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, Kluk said.

Following his arrest, Trigueros was processed and a blood alcohol test was performed which showed that he had been driving at more than twice the legal limit at .185, Kluk said.

He was charged with DUI, driving without a license and failure to drive eright. He was released on $260 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 13.
